Exam period is nearly upon us!

Next week, we get the whole week off, except those times when we have to come to school for exams. For me, I get Monday, Thursday, Friday, Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon off. Which is pretty cool. I have decided that I am going to attempt marmalade on Monday, while revising for my Maths test at the same time. Our old lemon tree, who has not given fruit for the past 5 years has suddenly decided to shower us with a load of lemons and limes. I had absolutely no idea our lemon tree was actually a lime/lemon tree. But hey, that's pretty cool. I have spent the past couple of days browsing all the marmalade blog posts and recipes my internet will load for me.

Also, I have decided to make a skirt that has buttons on it. I think I'm going to do it on the weekend after exams but before work experience, because we get a Queen's Birthday holiday!

i just started knitting myself a pair of hobo gloves last night. they currently consist of 3 and a half fingers.
i was using 3.2mm double points, which was fun, except the point is rather sharp and now the pads of my left index finger is slightly sore...

on other news, benedict cumberbatch (cello's future husband) has just broken up with his long time girlfriend and according to an email received this afternoon, cello is now packing her bags to move to england to be with benedict.

my sunflowers are blooming in the backyard. out of 8, 4 have opened up and they look so pretty!
and most of my transplanted carrot have in fact, survived the accidental harsh treatment and are thriving. my onions (yes, from last year) have re-sprouted a green shoot from the top and are growing again! :)
and my lemon tree is shooting out lemons, so hopefully, i can make some marmalade.

life is so good. :P
